Still Life
2013 Viktoria Mullin's Still Life
New Fall 2012 Viktoria Mulin Still Life As always all of the plants and flowers used in the compositions of my photos are my own garden flowers (and animals.)
Outdoor pictures are taken right in my garden under my plants.
Viktoria's Roses still life
The title Viktoria's Roses means that I use my own roses of my garden for still life compositions.
Viktoria's Roses is not only photography, it is my garden work and passion, my world and my love.
I grow roses in my garden with a great passion, and my roses reveal in love with me on my pictures.
It's summer! All of the flowers used in my compositions are my garden flowers.
Gardening is one more passion of mine, which brings me beautiful landscape and flowers, and also great inspiration and resource for my photography.

Trompe-l'œil Style

Trompe-l'œil, in English as trompe l'oeil,  (French for 'trick the eye', pronounced) is an art technique involving extremely realistic imagery in order to create the optical illusion that the depicted objects appear in three dimensions, instead of actually being a two-dimensional painting.
Although the phrase has its origin in the Baroque period, when it refers to perspective illusionism, use of trompe-l'œil dates back much further. It was (and is) often employed in murals. Instances from Greek and Roman times are known, for instance in Pompii. In seventeenth century  Dutch artists branched out and revived the ancient Greek still-life tradition of trompe l’oeil, particularly the imitation of nature, which they termed bedriegertje (“little deception”).
Studying the history of still life paintings, I was extremely interested of this style and try to create it with photography. I take photographs of still life compositions and then edit and modify them in my digital dark room following the style.

Garden Grown
My neighbors Tony and Michael grow vegetables and flowers in their little gardens. Obviously, they have good thumbs and open hearts, because everything they grow in their gardens comes quickly, delicious and beautiful. When I received  these freshest, full of sun rapines veggies from my neighbor Tony, there was no doubt what to do before they get my kitchen counter. "They are sooooo beautiful!” I exclaimed grubbing them and setting up immediately for the composition. Sunflowers used for Garden Grown still life compositions are from the Michael’s garden.
Thank you my dear neighbors!
